My rest timer didn't sound
The rest timer plays a sound and vibrates when the rest ends. If it did not, work through these.
1. Check notifications are allowed
The alert is delivered as a notification, which requires notification permission.
2. On Android, check the rest timer channel
MesoMetric uses a channel named Rest timer alerts, separate from the meal-alert channel.
Muting or switching off that channel silences the rest timer, even though the timer still runs.
Check that channel in Settings → Apps → MesoMetric → Notifications.
3. Check Do Not Disturb and Focus
On Android, the rest timer channel does not override Do Not Disturb. With DND on, the alert is silent.
On iPhone, a Focus mode can withhold the notification.
4. Check your volume
Your phone's notification volume controls this sound, not the media volume.
The timer still ran
A silent alert does not stop the timer. The countdown still runs and the rest is still timed. Only the alert is affected.
