MesoMetric Privacy Policy

Version 1.0

This Privacy Policy explains how MesoMetric LLC handles information in connection with the MesoMetric mobile application for Android and iPhone (the “App”), the MesoMetric website at mesometricapp.com, and direct support communications by email, telephone, SMS, or mail.

MesoMetric is a private, local-first digital training notebook. User-created App content is stored locally on the user’s device. MesoMetric does not automatically receive that content. Information may leave the device only through a user-directed function, a limited third-party request described below, or processing performed independently by Apple, Google, a destination selected by the user, or a communications provider.

1. Local-First Design

The App has no MesoMetric account system and does not operate MesoMetric cloud synchronization for training records.

MesoMetric does not use advertising, behavioral tracking, cross-app tracking, analytics software, or crash-reporting software. MesoMetric LLC does not sell personal information or use training information for advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking.

Except for the limited interactions described in this Policy, MesoMetric does not send user-created App content to a MesoMetric server.

2. Information Stored and Processed on the Device

The App may process information that the user enters, selects, records, calculates, imports, or saves through user-directed functions, including broad categories such as:

This information is stored in app-controlled local storage unless the user directs an action that sends or saves a copy elsewhere.

MesoMetric calculates and displays factual outputs derived from the user’s records. These outputs describe recorded information and do not constitute coaching, advice, prescriptions, recommendations, or decision-making by MesoMetric.

3. Device Permissions and User-Directed Functions

The App may request device access only when needed for a function the user chooses to use.

Camera and photos

The App may use the camera for barcode scanning or user-selected photos and may use device-provided photo controls so the user can select existing photos. Photos accepted through the App are stored locally. The App does not upload them to a MesoMetric server.

Local notifications

The App may schedule local reminders or timer alerts through the device operating system. MesoMetric does not use a MesoMetric server to send those alerts and does not collect a push-notification token for them.

Files, imports, exports, backups, and restoration

Users may select files and destinations through device-provided controls for import, export, backup, restoration, and file selection. MesoMetric does not use those functions to scan unrelated files.

User-started activity recording

When the user starts a supported live activity, the App may use device activity capabilities needed to record that session. Resulting records are stored locally and are not automatically sent to MesoMetric.

The user may deny or revoke a permission through device settings. A function that depends on that permission may then be unavailable.

4. Barcode Lookup and Open Food Facts

The App includes an optional, user-initiated barcode lookup for packaged foods.

When the user requests a lookup, the App sends the barcode number and ordinary technical request information needed to service the request to Open Food Facts through an encrypted internet connection. Ordinary request information may include an IP address, request time, request headers, user-agent information identifying the App, and comparable network metadata.

MesoMetric limits the information transmitted to what is reasonably necessary for the lookup. The request does not include the user’s training records, meal history, photos, goals, name, email address, or other MesoMetric records.

Open Food Facts is an independent third-party service. It receives the limited request under its own terms and privacy practices. MesoMetric does not control its availability, data accuracy, or independent processing. Returned product information may be incomplete or inaccurate and may be saved locally for later use or corrected by the user.

MesoMetric requires service providers acting on its behalf to handle information consistently with this Policy. Open Food Facts is not a MesoMetric service provider and independently operates the product-information service requested by the user.

5. Export, Share, Backup, and Restore

When the user chooses to export, share, back up, or restore information, the device may send or save it to a file, email account, cloud-drive location, application, service, or person selected by the user. MesoMetric LLC does not automatically receive a copy.

The selected destination may retain the information under its own terms and privacy practices. Users are responsible for protecting exported and backup files and for deleting copies from destinations where they placed them.

A backup or restoration process may not include every type of content, including photos stored outside the App’s private storage. Restoration is not guaranteed to be complete.

6. Purchases and App-Store Processing

One upfront purchase unlocks the complete MesoMetric mobile App. The App has no subscription, recurring charge, free tier, free trial, paid feature tier, consumable purchase, or separately purchased feature.

Apple or Google processes the purchase, depending on the platform. Apple and Google may maintain purchase, transaction, entitlement, and purchase-restoration information under their own terms and privacy practices.

MesoMetric LLC does not receive or store the user’s complete payment-card number, bank-account information, app-store password, or similar payment credentials. The App or applicable store may use store-provided entitlement information to recognize access or restore a purchase.

7. Support and Direct Communications

Users may contact MesoMetric voluntarily through email, telephone, SMS, mail, or the communication details provided on the Support and Contact pages. Visiting those pages does not submit a support request because they do not use a web contact form.

When a user contacts MesoMetric, MesoMetric may receive information such as:

MesoMetric uses support information to respond, troubleshoot, investigate, secure, document, and resolve the communication; prevent abuse; address disputes; and satisfy legal obligations. Users should send only information reasonably necessary for the support request.

SMS support

SMS is limited to user-initiated, conversational customer support in the United States. Users may initiate SMS support by texting SUPPORT to +1 866-637-6348. MesoMetric does not use SMS support for unsolicited marketing, promotional campaigns, purchased-list messaging, or recurring marketing messages.

Telephone carriers and messaging providers may process phone numbers, message content, timestamps, delivery information, and ordinary telecommunications metadata to transmit the messages. The MesoMetric SMS Messaging Terms also apply to SMS support.

Customer data is not shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose.

Any information sharing described elsewhere in this Policy excludes mobile opt-in information and SMS consent.

8. Retention

User-created App content remains under the user’s local control and is not retained by MesoMetric unless the user voluntarily sends a copy to MesoMetric for support.

MesoMetric retains support communications and voluntarily submitted materials only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve the matter, maintain appropriate business records, prevent abuse, address disputes, protect security, and satisfy legal obligations.

MesoMetric may retain limited information after a deletion request when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud or abuse prevention, security, dispute resolution, or required business records.

Apple, Google, communications providers, user-selected destinations, and independent third-party services retain information according to their own terms and practices.

9. Deletion and User Controls

Users may delete individual local records through available in-app controls.

The App includes an App Reset function that clears applicable locally stored App data and returns supported settings and functions to their reset state. App Reset may also cancel scheduled local reminders.

App Reset does not remove:

Uninstalling the App generally removes information stored inside the App’s local storage, subject to operating-system and backup behavior. Files, shared copies, exports, backups, and photos saved elsewhere must be deleted from those locations separately.

Users may revoke device permissions through device settings.

Users may decline optional barcode lookup, reply STOP to end SMS messages, revoke device permissions, delete local records, and remove exported or shared copies from destinations they control. These choices may make the related function unavailable but do not affect unrelated App functions.

A user may request access to, correction of, or deletion of support information that MesoMetric possesses by contacting support@mesometricapp.com. MesoMetric may verify the request by confirming control of the relevant email address, telephone number, or communication channel.

Because MesoMetric does not receive locally stored App records, it generally cannot access, recover, export, or delete records that remain solely on the user’s device.

10. Website Operation

When a person visits mesometricapp.com, website hosting, network, and security systems may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the requested pages, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or user-agent information, and security events.

MesoMetric does not use website visits for behavioral advertising, cross-site tracking, or user profiling. The website’s Support and Contact pages provide communication routes and do not contain a web contact form.

11. Security

MesoMetric uses local device storage and app-controlled files to support App functions. MesoMetric applies reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to support information it receives.

Access to support information is limited to persons and providers who reasonably need it to operate support, communications, security, or legal functions. Information transmitted over the internet or telecommunications networks cannot be guaranteed completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining device security, controlling access to their phone, protecting exported files, and preserving backups when they want protection against device loss, reset, uninstall, or hardware failure.

12. Children’s Privacy

MesoMetric is intended for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.

A user who has not reached the age of legal majority where the user lives may use the App with permission from a parent or legal guardian where required by law. The App does not operate an automated age-verification or in-app parental-consent system.

A parent or guardian may contact MesoMetric if information involving a minor was voluntarily submitted through a support communication and requires attention.

13. Health and Fitness Boundary

MesoMetric is a digital training notebook and metrics instrument for record-keeping and informational purposes. It does not provide coaching, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, individualized nutrition advice, prescriptions, recommendations, or autonomous decision-making.

Users remain responsible for their own training, nutrition, health, technique, equipment, environment, and safety decisions.

14. Platform Providers and External Destinations

Apple, Google, device operating-system providers, communications providers, user-selected destinations, and independent third-party services may process information for their own purposes under their own terms and privacy practices.

MesoMetric limits access and transmission to what is reasonably necessary for the user-directed function and does not authorize service providers acting on its behalf to use support information for behavioral advertising.

15. Changes to This Policy

MesoMetric may update this Policy when the App, support operations, legal requirements, or information practices change. The updated Policy will identify a new version number and will be made available through the App or at https://mesometricapp.com/privacy/.

Before or when a materially different privacy practice becomes available, MesoMetric will update applicable Apple App Privacy and Google Play Data Safety disclosures and will provide any notice or obtain any consent required by law or platform policy.
