How to export a single workout

A single workout can be shared as plain text.

Export a workout

  1. Open History.
  2. Tap the workout.
  3. Tap Export Workout.
  4. Your phone's share screen opens.

Closing the share screen without choosing a destination sends nothing. If you see Could not export, nothing was sent.

It exports logged sets

Export Workout reads logged sets, not planned sets. A workout started from a routine exports what was logged, not the routine's targets.

Weights are exported as stored. Per-arm loads are not doubled or converted.

Warm-up sets are marked with a leading [W]:

MedX - Lateral Raise
[W] 60 lbs × 20
80 lbs × 15
100 lbs × 15

RPE and per-set notes are not exported. This keeps the text in a format MesoMetric can read back in.

It can be imported again

The text uses the same layout Import Routine accepts.

An exported session can be pasted into another phone, or back into the same one, and becomes a routine.

How to import a routine

Cardio inside the workout

Cardio logged during the workout is exported as one line under the machine name:

Treadmill
3 mph incline 5 20 min 1 mi 2500 steps AM

Speed, incline, duration, distance, level, steps, and time of day are exported. Per-set notes are not.

Cardio sessions logged on their own are not part of a workout and are not included. They appear in a Daily Export or a Coach Report.

Export Workout is not Share Routine

These two buttons send different data.
