How to share or export a routine

A routine can be sent to another person or to your own new phone.

Share a routine

  1. Open Routines.
  2. Tap More on the routine you want.
  3. Tap Export / Share Routine.
  4. Your phone's share screen opens.

The output is plain text. Paste it into a message, an email, or a note.

The shared text can be imported

The text uses the same layout Import Routine reads.

The recipient can paste it directly into MesoMetric.

How to import a routine

Add exercises first

An empty routine has nothing to send:

Nothing to share yet
This routine has no exercises. Add exercises before exporting.

If you see Could not share routine, nothing was sent. Try again.

Cardio is exported in a shorter form

The cardio plan is included. The exported text does not match the layout you typed when importing.

Each value was typed on its own line. The export writes one compact line:

Treadmill
3 mph incline 5 20 min 1 mi 2500 steps

Both forms carry the same plan. Import Routine reads both.

The values always appear in the same order: speed, incline, duration, distance, level, steps, then A.M. or P.M. Only the values you set are written.

Cardio notes are not exported

Notes on a planned cardio row are lost when you share a routine.

Everything else round-trips: machines, durations, speeds, inclines, distances, levels, and steps.

To keep a cardio note, include it in the message alongside the routine.
