How routines work

A routine is a workout plan you save and use again.

A routine holds your exercises. It can also hold the sets, reps, and weights you plan to do.

A set is one group of lifts you do in a row, and you rest after each set. A rep is one lift.

Routines are the only records in MesoMetric with a name. Workouts have no name and are found by date.

Where to find them

On the Command Center, tap the Routine Workbench card.

Three ways to make one

WayWhat it does
Create a routine and add exercisesBuilds a plan from scratch
Save as Routine after a workoutSaves a workout you finished as a plan
Import a routine by pasting textBrings in a plan sent to you

Using a routine

Tap a routine in the list. MesoMetric creates a new workout with those exercises and starts it immediately. There is no confirmation.

To open a routine without starting it, tap Edit.

Routines and workouts are separate

The workout and the routine separate the moment the workout starts:

  • Changing the workout does not change the routine.
  • Changing the routine does not change workouts already done.

Deleting a routine does not delete workouts. They remain in History.
