How to record your gym

A gym can be recorded on a workout. A recorded gym enables the gym filter in History.

Add a gym to a workout

  1. Open your active workout.
  2. Tap the gym line in the header. It reads + ADD_LOCATION when empty.
  3. Type a Gym name.
  4. Add a Location. This is optional.
  5. Tap Save.

The line then reads GYM // {NAME} • {LOCATION}.

MesoMetric displays it in capitals. Your text is stored as you typed it.

If you see Could not save gym, nothing was saved. Try again.

What your gym is used for

Once a workout has a gym, it appears in three places:

  • on that workout in History
  • in the gym filter at the top of History, which shows one gym at a time
  • in your Daily Export and Coach Report

Gyms belong to a workout

A gym is set from inside a workout, one workout at a time.

There is no gym list and no gym settings screen. A gym cannot be renamed everywhere at once.

A renamed gym becomes a separate one in the filter.

Gym names must match exactly to group together. Gold's Venice and Golds Venice are treated as two gyms.

Equipment lives on photos

Machine details are attached to an equipment photo, not to the exercise.

Each photo can carry a machine name, manufacturer, model, setup notes, and a star rating.
