How to plan sets before you lift

Sets can be recorded before you lift them.

Planned sets are targets. Actual sets are what you logged. MesoMetric keeps both.

Plan a whole exercise at once

  1. Tap on the exercise card.
  2. Tap Plan sets.
  3. Fill in Sets, Reps, and Weight.
  4. Tap Save.

Reps accepts a single number such as 8, a range such as 8-12, or a set-by-set list such as 8/8/8/6.

Weight is optional.

Plan sets does not appear on cardio or vacuum exercises.

Add one planned row

Tap + Add planned set to add a single row.

Each row has its own Weight, Reps, and a Warm-up: ON / OFF switch.

MesoMetric leaves warm-up sets out of your working volume. This applies on the Performance screen, in your session report, and in your Coach Report.

Repeat the same row quickly

Once one planned row exists, a small + appears beside + Add planned set.

Tap it to copy the last row exactly — same weight, same reps, same warm-up setting.

The + on the exercise card header is a different button. It repeats the last set you actually lifted. This one copies the last row you planned.

Tick a planned set off

Your sets appear in a table with #, PLAN, and ACTUAL.

To log a planned row exactly as written, tap the PLAN cell, then SET COMPLETE.

To change it first, tap the Log chip on that row. The form opens linked to your plan and carries the warm-up setting across.

Change a planned row

Tap the PLAN cell to open its menu:

  • EDIT PLANNED — change the weight or reps
  • DELETE PLANNED — remove the row
  • MOVE UP or MOVE DOWN — reorder it
