How to log a hold

Some exercises are timed instead of counted, such as a plank or a stomach vacuum.

For these, MesoMetric records how long you held, not how many reps you did.

Time a hold

  1. Add the exercise to your workout.
  2. Tap a preset, or use the countdown as it is.
  3. Start your hold.
  4. Tap Stop, or let the countdown finish.

The presets are 30s, 45s, and 60s. If your plan set a time, MesoMetric adds it and highlights it.

Cancel discards the hold without saving it.

When the time runs out

The phone buzzes and HOLD COMPLETE ✓ flashes for about three seconds.

Silent mode and Do Not Disturb can affect whether the phone buzzes. The screen still shows HOLD COMPLETE ✓.

Type a time instead

Use Time held (sec, optional) to enter the seconds directly. Use it when the hold was timed elsewhere, or the countdown was not started.

What holds do not have

Holds show no reps, no RPE, and no warm-up switch. Those belong to lifting sets.
