How to create and edit foods
Foods is your saved list of items you eat often. Saving a food does not log it as eaten.
Macros means protein, carbs, and fat.
On the Command Center, tap Foods.
Add a food
- Tap Create item.
- Fill in the boxes.
- Tap Save to Foods.
The boxes are:
| Box | Example |
|---|---|
| Name | Chicken Breast |
| Serving description | 6 oz grilled |
| Grams for one serving | 170 |
| Protein per serving (g) | 52 |
| Carbs per serving (g) | 0 |
| Fat per serving (g) | 6 |
| Calories per serving | 250 |
| Barcode (optional) | Leave empty unless you have one |
A name is required. Other errors are shown above the buttons.
Enter the numbers for one serving
All numbers are for one serving. You define what a serving is.
When the food is added to a meal, you enter how many servings you ate. MesoMetric multiplies the numbers.
MesoMetric does not calculate calories here. It saves what you enter.
Change a food
- On the Command Center, tap Foods.
- Tap the food.
- Change what you need.
- Tap Save Changes.
Meals you already saved do not change.
If a similar food already exists
When a manually added food has a name close to one already saved, MesoMetric asks:
Two options:
- Tap Use "…" to use the existing food.
- Tap Create new distinct item to add a separate food.
Remove a food
Open the food and tap Delete Item.
