How to add and manage check-in photos

Progress photos are stored on a check-in. Each check-in holds up to seven.

These are separate from equipment photos. MesoMetric stores the two separately.

Add a photo

  1. Open a new check-in, or edit an existing one.
  2. Tap Tap to add a photo, or the + tile.
  3. Choose Camera or Photo Library.

The section header reads Photos ยท {n} of 7.

Backing out of the camera or the picker adds nothing.

Photos are copied into the app

MesoMetric copies each photo into its own storage. Editing or deleting the original in your camera roll does not affect the check-in.

Remove a photo

Press and hold the photo tile.

Remove photo?

When creating a check-in, the photo is removed immediately.

When editing, the photo is removed only when the edit is saved. Backing out of the edit keeps it.

View a photo

Tap any photo on the check-in screen. It opens full screen.

Photos are fitted whole, never cropped.

Tap Close to return.

If the camera cannot be used

Camera permission denied โ€” Grant access in Settings to add a check-in photo.
Photo library permission denied โ€” Grant access in Settings to add a check-in photo.

Your phone controls this permission, not MesoMetric. Open your phone's settings, find MesoMetric, and turn the permission on.

Where photos can go

Photos are never uploaded anywhere on their own. They leave only when you send them.

When you share:

  • Back up my data packages the real image files
  • Data Export (No Image Files) carries no pictures at all
  • Daily Export and Coach Report attach them only when you turn Photos on
  • Share Check-in attaches them directly
